Students access AS level Chemistry course from the Core & Additional Science GCSE, GCSE Chemistry, or IGCSE Chemistry. It is an essential subject for those wants to apply to University for Medicine or Veterinary Science.
The OCR Chemistry A syllabus is used, allowing the key concepts of Chemistry to be delivered through a range of different chemical topics.
At AS level, students will cover multiple topics in depth. These include Atoms, Bonds and Groups and Chains, Energy and Resources.
At A2 level, those choosing to carry on will study Rings, Polymers and Analysis as well as Equilibria, Energetics and Elements.
