Many students choose Biology for As level and then pursue in to completing it as A level subject. It is an important subject to study for those wants to apply for Medicine, Nursing, Veterinary Science or Biology related courses at University level.
The major ideas in Biology are explored through the OCR syllabus. At AS level, the units include: Cells, Exchange & Transport (Unit F211) and Molecules, Biodiversity, Food & Health (Unit F212).
At A2 level, units include Communication, Homeostasis & Energy (Unit F214) and Control, Genomes & Environment (Unit F215). Both halves of the course include a practical assessment (Units F213 and F216).
